I decided to migrate junian.net to junian.dev.

Why? For better branding with my other social accounts like YouTube.

The migration moves very smooth, every old links will be redirected to the new domain. If you search from Google or Bing, it’ll show the new domain too.

If you’re curious, here’s what I did correctly for domain migration.

Created a new project on Netlify using the new domain, basically just copy the project and just change the domain
Do 301 redirects from junian.net to junian.dev from the old Netlify project
Updated Google Analytics data stream URL to the new domain.
Used Google Search Console domain migration tool. I need to tell Google that I have a new domain.
Since junian.dev already accepted to Google AdSense previously, no need for extra review.

March 2026 Monthly Growth Report

March was an interesting month.

I landed a freelance gig that takes up a full-time schedule, which is great for my finances. But on the other hand, I was a bit sad because I didn’t have much time to write or make videos.

Also, I finished binge-watching Season 2 of Netflix’s One Piece live-action. Man, that show was so good. If you need something to watch, give it a try.

Withdraw Google Adsense to Jenius Bank USD Account

As someone who lives in Indonesia (if you don’t know where Indonesia is, it’s where Bali Island is located) and earns from Google AdSense, I usually withdraw my earnings to my local IDR bank account. I’ve been doing this for years, and it works fine for me.

But there’s a hidden fee in doing that: the exchange rate. I don’t know the exact exchange rate or how much I’ll receive in IDR until the money arrives at the bank.

Google Adsense Domain Migration: The Planning

Lately, my website has been gaining great traffic, and I’m truly grateful for that, especially you: human readers.

It makes me happy to keep writing more content. The fact that people are actually reading what I write is something I never expected, especially in this age of AI.

There’s also another thing I’ve been planning to do.

I’ve been meaning to buy a .com domain for rebranding, and I thought this might be a good time to do it before someone else snatches it.

Removing Disqus from Comment System

After a long time debating, I finally decided to remove Disqus from my site.

At first, I thought I had a grandfathered Disqus account. When I clicked the Ads sidebar in Disqus, it said ads were disabled.

But after several days, they were activated by themselves.

I’m open to advertisements, as long as they benefit everyone. But the Disqus experience has been horrible. It makes my site slower.

The ad quality also looks scammy.

Welcoming LLM AI to My Site

As you may know, I’ve written a tutorial on how to block LLM AI like ChatGPT from crawling my site without attribution via robots.txt file.

I implemented that on my own websites, and so far I haven’t seen any traffic coming from the LLM bots.

Enough time has passed since then, and I’ve noticed that some visitors to my YouTube channel are coming from LLMs like ChatGPT.

They’re a small number for now, but I guess the future of web traffic will come from LLMs.

It's Time to Write Again

It’s been a while since I last wrote anything here, but I’m back at it again! I have to admit, taking a break was necessary, but I’ve missed expressing my thoughts through writing. It feels great to be able to put my ideas into words once again.

Minimalism Classical Music

While doing some work, I like to listen to some music. But not all music is suitable for working.

Mostly music with human vocal, it’s distracting me.

I find classical music as the best genre I’ve ever heard to accompany me while working. But classical music itself has a variety of genre.

For example, there is this piece of Opera that also have human vocal. It’s also distracting me.

There is also some classical music with a fast tempo, that even though it’s a great piece, but still distracting. For example that awesome Vivaldi Presto Summer piece.
